Ricky Byrne

Assemblage 1

A small limited series of colour blends in a minimal abstract composition.

The prints are all unique, as the physical motion of the screen printing process shifts mixes and merges the different pigments and chemicals arranged on the screen.

Each print has been finished with a hand gilded 24ct gold square to accent the colour palettes used.

During creation many versions are produced however only the finest five fades are selected.

What is the Own Art scheme?

At Electric Gallery we believe art should be accessible to everyone. As a member of the Own Art Scheme (backed by Arts Council England), we offer a 0% finance option to our UK customers, for most of the artworks we sell.

With Own Art you can spread the cost of the art you love, over 10 months. You can choose to finance all or just part of your purchase and multiple works can be bought with one loan. You don’t have to pay a deposit and - best of all - you can take your art home with you straight away!

Once you’ve found the artwork that you want to buy, just let us know that you’d like to apply for an Own Art loan to finance your purchase. All you will need is proof of residence and signature (for example, a driving license). The application process typically takes around 10 minutes.

Backed by Art Council England
Own Art is a fantastic scheme backed by Art Council England, with 0% finance loans provided by Hitachi Capital Finance. Many of the leading art galleries in Britain are members of the scheme.

Your Own Art Options
If the total value of your Own Art eligible artworks at checkout is between £100 and £25,000, you'll be offered the option to apply for a 0% finance loan through Hitachi Capital Finance and spread the cost over 10 months.

To apply, simply complete the application process at checkout or call us and we'll arrange your finance application for you. Just phone 020 8064 1887 or send an email to hello@electricgallery.co.uk.

About the Artist – Ricky Byrne

Ricky Byrne is a screen printer and visual artist based in the east end of London. His work predominantly focuses on abstract compositions using a unique technique of colour blending, but also spans into digital art and more technical print styles.

Working as a commercial fine art screen printer under the banner of Mesh & Blade, Ricky has over 15 years experience in technical printing and loves to combine an in depth knowledge of the printmaking process with an open and freeform approach to his main body of work (which he would call, generously, curated chaos).

The intention behind his work is to complete spaces aesthetically, challenge the often cold replication innate to printmaking with the joy of random generation and a more painterly live approach to the press and invoke the imagination of his audience by using reductionist approaches to colour, shape and the sense of movement in his work.
