Italy was one of Aarons’ favourite destinations, and these newly released images show the legendary photographer at his finest. From the rocky coastlines of Capri and Amalfi to the sun-soaked shores of Sardinia, each scene is filled with golden light and luminous shades of pink, blue and green.
The collection features many of the subjects for which Slim Aarons remains celebrated: secluded beach resorts, elegant estates and bustling piazzas alive with summer activity. Among the newly discovered works is Swimming Pool, an atmospheric underwater image available in sizes up to 40 × 30 inches. Dreamlike and unexpectedly contemporary, its immersive blue tones create a striking focal point for any interior.
