About the Artist – Cassandra Yap

Artist and Art Director Cassandra Yap is originally from Singapore, and is now based in London. Her work often explores the juxtaposition between dark and beautiful subjects to create surreal and provocative imagery. Her wall art  and prints are fuelled by her love of pin ups, the female form and what she describes as “an unhealthy obsession with vintage erotica”.

Cassandra Yap has risen to prominence with her unique works including feathers montaged with images of sixties and seventies pin up girls and erotic playing cards. She also creates a range of prints, using gold foil and glitter. Her signature style also includes combining vintage glamour girls with butterflies and skulls, giving her photomontage halftone images a dark, bold and humorous style with a kinky edge.
